This text considers the physical operation of devices, the basics of semiconductors and PN Junction, bipolar junction transistor operation and MOSFET operation. The result is a gradual introduction to these ideas within the context of their importance where they are needed. First published in 1982, this text offered a different way to teach electrical engineers about electronic circuits. This fourth edition has been extensively revised and includes information on devices and circuits, analogue circuits and digital circuits.
