This book analyzes the role literature and poetic sensibility played in colonial British and American writings on Afghanistan from the nineteenth through the twentyfirst centuries ending with Afghan immigrant authors who adapt colonial myths as anticolonial strategy and post USWar authors who more fundamentally reimagine old narratives.
