Poet and short story writer Blanche Sears hails from the North Eastern Coastal town of South Shields. She graduated in English Language and Literature from Manchester University and obtained a Teaching Diploma from Kings College London. After marriage to Tom a Neurophysiologist they spent time in Australia where two of their three children were born.
