Designing After the Earthquake : The Experiences for Abruzzo

Deeply moved by the severe earthquake of April 6th, 2009, the teachers and students of the Faculty of Architecture of Pescara searched for ways in which to help the people affected. Following the initial, spontaneous impulse to pitch in and lend a hand, the teachers and students realized that their energy and resources could be put to more effective use than by volunteering their help on an individual basis. This book presents projects and proposals drawn up in a year of hard work, documenting this first important contribution to designing after the earthquake from the world of science.
