Part of a series, this resource book for new home owners looks at decorating a living room. It examines which elements of a room need to be looked at first, which colours are right for a room and what will fit best with existing furniture and ornaments. Starting with the basics of colour, the book explains in words and pictures how to look at the room and how to plan its decoration with individual preferences in mind. It moves on to look at the elements of the room from organization of the furniture to rugs and curtains. Each photograph has a caption which will use the picture as a counterpoint to explain ideas and give advice. The book contains a list of mail order outlets which can supply, on a budget, paint, fitments and fittings for each room.
